About Hospital

KLE Ayurveda Hospital & Medical Research Centre is a teaching hospital under the ambit of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi. It is a pioneer in providing quality healthcare service through Ayurveda since 1933.It is a well-recognized hospital in Karnataka state and it is functioning in the present building since August 2005. The hospital is flying with excellence in the field of Ayurveda with 281 bed strength and it is having a campus area about 11.5 acres.

Milestone

K L E Ayurveda Hospital & Medical Research Centre is a globally recognized hospital. India’s First AYUSH Institution having both NAAC & NABH Accreditation. The hospital is flying with excellence in the field of Ayurveda.

Set on a sprawling 11.5 acres area in the heart of city, the hospital offers the services of more than 30 vaidyas, with postgraduate and doctorate qualification in Ayurveda. The services of rendered by these well-experienced Vaidyas conform to the tradition of ancient science of Ayurveda. The hospital is well equipped with advanced technology and having 281 bed strength.

The Hospital is well equipped and has satellite centre at Alarwad Village.

MILESTONE

1933:

Establishment of Hospital

1938:

College & Hospital shifted to UpparGalli, Khasbhag Belgaum.

1940:

Out Patient Department started.

1942:

40 bed strength Inpatient Department started.

1955:

Prasooti&Streeroga department established in the name of Smt.KhashibhaiMirje inaugurated by Shri P B Ugarghulara and Shri Patil Mallannagowda.

1956:

Operation theatre inaugurated by Shri R BasappannaBhomaraddi.

1958:

Bed strength increased from 40 to 100 beds.

1990:

The institute was taken over by K L E Society.

2005:

Hospital shifted to New Building in present campus

2006:

Naturopathy and Yoga Department started.

2007:

Establishment of Medical Research Centre & Telemedicine.
Initiation of SuvarnaBinduPrashana a KLE Innovation

2008:

Sristi Fertility Centre started

2010:

increase of bed strength to 281 (200 +81)
